Hello everyone! I can't believe it's been a whole week since the wedding. I'm dying to tell you all about it, and to finally share see some photos! To summarize, it was perfect. Naturally, some things did not go as planned, but that doesn't make it any less perfect. I wish you had been there, really.
I wish I had had the time and sanity to schedule some posts for this week, but sadly I only have these beautiful photos of the place where Mike and I are spending our first week together as a husband and wife, in paradise. We are having the most wonderful time and are sad for it to end, but excited about getting back to reality and starting our lives together.
Please remember us as we travel back from Jamaica and begin our roadtrip to our new home in Nebraska.
And then go and plan your next romantic getaway to our resort. I promise you won't regret it. ;)
It literally took my breath away when we drove down the driveway to the front door.
We spend a lot of time in our room (duh!), with its breathtaking view of the island. We like to sit on the balcony and eat breakfast, or read our books and I'm in nerd honeymoon heaven. (I devoured The Hunger Games. Must. Have. Sequel. NOW.)
If you know either of us, you know that we LOVE our food. And this resort has us covered, from breakfast in bed, an all day buffet, veggie and smoothie bar, and three upscale restaurants to choose from. Above is my favorite, Bayside. Five courses of the most delicious Asian food you've ever had, looking over the gorgeous beach. Heaven.
Here's another great restaurant, the Veranda. I'm a fan of any place that is this pretty AND sets their desserts on fire.
In addition to all the gourmet food and premium drinks that you can handle, the resort package comes with all kinds of extras, so many we couldn't even fit them all in one week. This afternoon we're going on a catamaran cruise, after our complimentary couples massage (yay for honeymoon perks!).
I saved the best for last. This is the resort's very own Nekkid Island. Ok, they call it the Au Naturale Island, but to us it will always be the Nekkid Island. And yes, we did participate. Very interesting, to say the least. ;)

It looks so beautiful! I can't wait to hear about the wedding...you both look absoultely blissful :)

ReplyDeleteWOW what an awesome place. I never realized that there is such a beautiful place withing our reach. I do not know how you can do anything, even sleep, with that beauty all around you. I know you hate to leave, but I'm sure someday you will be able to return. I need to know the expense of this trip so I can start saving my pennies. I hope you know how lucky you are to have spent your honeymoon there. You both deserve the best. I love you and come home safe. I love you both and and can't tell you how happy and proud of both of you, my new Son and my gorgeous daughter. Love, Mom
